  • Will need an RCD plug fitting before use (if bought as kit or assembled)

  • Can be used with the Liquid Logid AutoFill or another Booster pump shut-off system such as the S2 or S3 controllers

PUMP WARNINGS

  • MAKE SURE YOU HAVE ENOUGH FLOW RATE FROM THE MAINS SUPPLY FOR THE PUMP. CHECK FLOW RATE FROM MAINS AND ALSO WITH A COUPLE OF TAPS ON.(if not enough, the pump will be damaged internally)
  • DO NOT LET THE PUMP RUN DRY(this will damage the pump internally).
  • IF YOU NEED TO FLUSH THE MEMBRANE, DO IT USING MAINS PRESSURE ONLY, NOT THE PUMP
  • LIKE MOST MOTORS/ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT, DO NOT GET WATER OVER THE MOTOR
  • ALWAYS USE WITH AN RCD PLUG FITTED OR PLUGGED IN TO AN RCD OUTLET

Operation Guide (once assembled)

  1. Plug in water supply to the port on the stainless steel front of the pump
  2. Plug in water outlet to the top connector on top of the unit
  3. Ensure water supply is on and the pump is primed
  4. Open up water to RO system
  5. Turn on power to pump and it will start to boost water pressure
  6. When RO shuts off (if using with a PRF-RO) then the pressure controller will allow the pump to run on for about 15-20 seconds before turning the pump off
  7. When RO turns on again (water level in tank has dropped) then the pressure controller will switch the booster pump back on

 

Kit Assembly Guide (only needed if not selecting the Plug & Play option) -

1. All screw threads need very generous wraps of PTFE tape - about 10-15 wraps - ensure that first thread only has single wrap to allow fitting to bite straight
2. Do not allow PTFE tape to extend beyond the thread - prevents PTFE tape getting into pump
3. Assemble Blue Pressure Controller on to the top of the pump - hand tighten until tight
4. Screw on Plastic Reducing Coupling on to top of Blue Controller
5. Screw John Guest 1/2" to outside tap connector (if option selected) onto the reducing coupling thread - no PTFE tape needed as rubber gasket will seal
6. Screw in Nylon Reducing Bush (if option selected) into input on stainless steel end of pump
7. Screw John Guest Fitting (if option selected) into Reducing Bush
8. Connect up to mains water and pressure test all connections - ensure outlet hose has a valved fitted and turned off for this to test under pressure
9. Once all water joints are tested and are dry then remove the front cover from the pressure switch controller
10. Now cut off the Plug and feed wire leaving just 30cm of cable connected to the pump. Over this 30cm length slide on screw-on collar and sealing washer and then slide into the top port of the controller cover
11. Wire up this pump wire to the top 3 connections inside - Earth to Earth, Blue to V and Brown to U
12. Insert the remaining length of wire (that wa previously cut-off) through the lower controller front port
13. Wire up to the bottom 3 connections - Earth to earth, Blue to N and Brown to L1
14. Re-fit the controller front cover and screw up the port screw-on collars
15. If wanted now fit the pressure gauge on the side - remove the screw sealing the hole on the side of the blue controller, push-fit the gauge and screw in place with two screws provided
16. With the pump running re-test all of the connections for water tightness. If not water tight, then undo and re-wrap with more PTFE tape
17. Tools needed: PTFE tape, 1x very large adjustable spanner (up to 34mm), 1x large adjustable spanner wire cutters/strippers and screwdrivers
